NEXT YARD WASTE COLLECTION
WEEK OF September 13th
Please have yard waste out at curbside on your day of trash collection by 7AM during the above weeks. Yard waste i.e, grass clippings, leaves, shrub trimmings can be in open trash barrels or biodegradable paper leaf bags.
NO shrubs/dirt/rocks etc. in bags or barrels. Yard waste will be left behind if any other debris is mixed in.
Please DO NOT rake leaves/debris into streets – this clogs our catch basins and promotes flooding and makes for dangerous situations in wet weather.
Mission Statement
The City of Medford is committed to the diversion of household solid waste from landfills to having these recyclables collected for reuse.
Our mission is to keep the residents well educated on what can be recycled, how to sort these items, any changes/additions to the program and to offer the tools to make the process uncomplicated by having a curbside program paralleled by a drop-off site.
We offer innovative and exciting ways to recycle from water conservation with rain barrels (when available) to composting to recycling of cell phones and flourescent tubes.
Medford’s continued recycling efforts and diverting from the waste stream will benefit the preserving of the environment for future generations.
